Synergy Trucking is currently looking for company drivers to fill our BC to CA routes.  Competitive pay with benefits and continuous work year-round.  Some experience required.  I-5 routes only, (team driving ) no AB triangle. BC-CA-BC route.

Job Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance;
• Load and unload goods;
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch;
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials;
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo;
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy;
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment;
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes;
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption;
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Weight Handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Education requirements: No degree, certificate or diploma

Credentials (Certification and Licensing): Driver's License (Class 1 or A); Air Brakes Endorsement

Work Experience Requirements: Must have international long haul experience.

Documentation Knowledge

• Accident or incident reports;
• Trans-border documentation;
• Maintenance and repair reports;
• Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip);
• Driver logbook; Bill of lading

Communication Systems Experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Language Proficiency Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding

Security and Safety

• Driving record check (abstract);
• Medical exam;
• Drug test;
• Criminal record check;
• Valid passport
