Responsibilities:

  • Conduct overnight deliveries to stores and warehouses within British Columbia and Alberta
  • Perform daily pretrip inspections on truck and trailer
  • Communicate with stores and warehouses regarding delivery status
  • Maintain daily vehicle logs

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 License with Air is required as well as a clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be available to work nights
  • Previous winter mountain driving experience is required
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience is required
  • Electronic log experience preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Strong understanding of rules, regulations and requirements of the trucking industry
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new procedures
  • Ability to identify basic mechanical issues
  • Familiarity with paper and electronic logbooks
