This is a union position. Shifts start and end in Port Coquitlam, BC. A company fuel card is provided if needed. Pay remuneration hourly and paid weekly by direct deposit. Dispatch is done by company-issued phone and TMS (Dispatch system).

Responsibilities:

• Conducts themselves accordingly, as an ambassador of Simard and our values
• Responds promptly and effectively to any safety or operational equipment problems
• Complies with all Transport Canada rules and regulations
• Completes pre and post-trip inspection in accordance with motor vehicle regulations
• Informs supervisor of any maintenance issues promptly
• Ensures paperwork and related documentation are accurate and legible; maintains records and files.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid BC Class 1 with airbrakes Driver’s License
• Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience
• Containers Experience

Other Information:

• Simard offers weekly pay by direct deposit
• Newer equipment, automatic transmission
