We’re currently prospecting Professional Class 1 Driving Experts, who possess the necessary Flatdeck/Super B skills, training and long-haul trucking experience to represent our brand.

Job Details:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position is for Long-haul heavy truck driving, routes vary considerably; routes include travel through British Columbia, across Canada, and also in Western and Eastern United States.
• The ability to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to the central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Pay and receive payments for goods, Oversee condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.

Education requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School required.

Credentials (Certification and Licensing):

• Driver's License (Class 1 Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Heavy duty driving experience is an asset, but not required.

Documentation Knowledge

• Documentation Skills: Applicants must be capable and or willing to learn how to use the following; bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, trans-border documentation, maintenance, and repair reports.

Communication Systems Experience

• Applicants must be willing to learn how to use the following equipment; CB radio, Cellular phone, GPS equipment.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate in English

Security and Safety

• Basic security clearances will be done, including criminal record check, driving record check (abstract), medical exam, and/or drug test

Transportation/Travel Information

• Willing to travel all across Canada and the United States. Willing to travel by day/evening/night including travel on overnight routes, willing to travel for extended periods of time. The candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be willing to drive long-haul trucks as a two-person team.

Type of Trucking and Equipment

• Straight truck (4,600kg or 10,000lbs with 3 axles), Tractor-trailer, Flatbed, Refrigerated, Highway.
• Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
